This page tracks total returns across the main ETF asset classes, giving a compact cross-asset view of where capital is flowing. Equities (US large, mid and small cap, sectors, international), fixed income (short, intermediate and long duration, TIPS, aggregate), commodities (oil, gas, agriculture, broad basket), currencies (EUR, GBP, JPY) and crypto (BTC, ETH) are all compared using the same methodology.
Returns are computed from adjusted close prices, so dividends and distributions are included — the same convention used by institutional research desks. YTD measures performance from the last trading day of the previous year; the monthly column measures performance from the last trading day of the previous month and updates automatically as the calendar rolls forward.
Cell colors reflect the magnitude of the move, from deep red (sharp decline) to deep green (strong advance), so relative strength across asset classes is visible at a glance.
