Reddit Stock Trends tracks the top 100 most-mentioned stocks across major finance subreddits (r/wallstreetbets, r/stocks, r/investing, and others). Data is collected once a day at 19:52 UTC.

How it works:

  • Snapshot — Once a day we record the current top 100 stocks (mentions, upvotes, rank) and their closing prices.
  • Cycle — A stock enters the top 100 and stays until it drops out. A cycle ends when the stock exits.
  • Entry values — Score, density and mentions are captured on the day a stock enters. They stay fixed for the whole cycle.
  • Performance — Calculated from the closing price on the entry day to today's closing price.
  • Closed cycles — Only cycles lasting at least 1 full day are counted in statistics.

Important note on entry dates: The "entry" date refers to the day the tracking script started monitoring the ticker, not necessarily the first day the stock ever appeared in the top 100. A stock may have already been in the top 100 for days or months before the script began tracking it. Entry values are fixed at the moment tracking begins and do not change for the duration of the cycle.

Top 3 DensityStocks ranked #1, #2 or #3 by density within their market cap group (mega, large, mid, small) at the time of entry.
PerformancePrice change (%) from the day the stock entered the top 100 (closing price) to its current closing price.
Consecutive Days in Top 100Current streak of consecutive days in the top 100.
Total Days in Top 100Cumulative days in the top 100 (not necessarily consecutive).
